DT ROR Tuesday 5-14-19
Vendor Day/Media Day
Tuesday 5-14-19 is Vendor set-up day. The Discount Tire team has most of their tires, wheels and accessories set-up already but went to work early to fine tune their booth to make sure it was ready for the event.
It seemed every way I turned around I was greeted by a familiar face and a hug from some of the outstanding people that attend this outstanding Rally. It is so much fun to catch on old rides and just see how our friends are doing.
As I was walking around to see some of the vendors some of the rides were leaving the Spanish Trails arena to hit the trails for the day. I can't wait for some of them to come back and tell me about their ride.
After a hard day of selling tires and wheels we will be having an industry night . We invite vendors over for a relaxing dinner of pulled port we cooked thanks to the amazing pellet grills provided by Camp Chef. It's always a good time sharing a great dinner and playing some games of corn hole with our industry partners.
Our Industry dinner was a huge hit with well over 100 vendors and media people attending. Everybody had an awesome dinner thanks to our guy Adam for getting up at 2 and 4 AM tending to the 65 pounds of pulled pork, cooking them to perfection on the amazing Camp Chef pellet grills. Also shout out to Method Race wheels for providing refreshments and Moab Ice for letting us bring a trailer full of ice to the condos.
After getting their fill of pork and fixings thanks to our chef Tom it was time to see who could toss the corn hole bags the best. What a blast talking to all the people that come to support our outstanding sport of off-roading in side by sides. Our Friend Cowboy and his daughter are always a treat to talk to with all the stories they have had being a local guide in Moab and on the Colorado river for some 30 plus years. I always enjoy all the stories from all the people that have set up shop all over the country trying to make our sport even better.
The change in the machines in the last 10 years blows my mind.
Tomorrow we will be riding on Fins-N-Things testing out some new 30/10R-15 Patagonia SXT Milestar tires mounted on New Raceline Trophy wheels.
Stay tuned for some action.
