T-Week 07 Martinez Area
We went camping the day after Thanksgiving in the Martinez area and even took our Grandkids. We decided to go to a new spot this time around. We went S on 79 for 5 miles from the 60. From there we turned left on Cottonwood Canyon Rd. Johnny and Art had gone out on Thanksgiving day to get a spot. They went in about only 1 mile. It was nice and flat but it was full of silt. We really found out latter that night when the wind started blowing like mad. I had to get up at about 2:00 Am to put my awning down before it blew away. I could hardly see Johnny's camper the dust was so bad.
Oh well us guys went riding the next day anyway. The wind was not hardly blowing at all back in the mountains.
We had people from Montana, Michigan, New Mexico and Arizona. It's always a blast to make new friends and be with old friends as well.
The kids had an absolute blast getting filthy. This had to be one of the dirtiest camp trips ever. Oh well at least we were outside plus Tyler loves to clean. He swept out the camper and was spraying down everything at home.
