Bagdad loop 11-10-12

What a blast to see Roy back out on his quad. We had an amazing scenery ride. We had a few drops of rain in the desert and a few flakes of snow along the way. Climbed to 6.500 feet at one point. We started at 4 AM as it was a 2 &1/2 hour drive each way. I didn't mind since I woke up at 2:30 and could not get back to sleep.

I had a strange thing happen about 10 miles in to the ride. My rear shock came unscrewed from the hanger and exploded. Fortunately I was only going about 10 MPH and we found the 2 washers. So when Roy and Zane got back to me we took off the tire and even used some JB weld to put it back together. It held for the ride.

Never saw anyone except for a few real cowboys out on this outstanding 80 mile loop. Lots of awesome loose, rocky steep hillclimbs. Over one mountain after another. A couple of old cabins to explore as well.

What a blast. It was 39 degrees when we started.
